.....God is particularly displeased with the self-exalted, self-justifying Christian scholars, theologians, pastors and other church leaders who cynically blame those they see as “poor, back-slidden Christians” --God's "sheep"--for not having enough “faith”, or perhaps even having not truly been "saved".   This is height of vanity and hypocrisy; because it is as if it their "lost" condition is the fault of the sheep and not the shepherds!  God refers to such "leaders" as "hirelings" because they do not sincerely care for the sheep but only for their own benefit and pre-eminence (John 10:13).   Surely it can't be the fault, can it, of the of the burned-out, phone-it-in pastors,  the slick celebrity televangelists, the pious heirarchy of degreed academics, and all of the other ‘leaders’ who comprise what today must surely be the most prominent religious organization in the world: The Mutual-Esteem & Excuse-Making Society!
